I have arrived in Meru to the strains of the matatu tout singing the above song.  I am now north of Mt Kenya and it was a very lovely pretty ride, although the desperately praying lady next to me made it hard to ignore the steep drops by the very bendy road. I hear there’s a big freeze on in England.  I don’t really understand this concept, as it’s 32 degrees here? I’m in Watamu, having my last two days of beaching and sunning before heading inland for a little trip around Mt Kenya.  It’s lovely here, where we stayed for the election night in 2007.  We had dinner in the same restaurant as where we saw the election...

Would you like a little Obama
We’re in Mombasa all safe and sweaty.  Yolana thought that the ticket tout was asking her whether, theoretically, she would like a personal Obama, maybe to cook for her.  I thought that it was a relatively funny dirty come-on.
